Do it the IFA way – Live the Chelsea Foundation Experience

Welcome to the website of the International Football Academy (IFA) in association with the Chelsea Football Club Foundation (CFCF).

We are a grassroots football organisation providing opportunities for both boys and girls to play football in a fun and safe environment. Our Academy is open for all children of all abilities between the ages of five to 16.  We embrace the Chelsea Foundation values of fair play, respect and discipline as well as encouraging team play and developing social skills.

We believe that we are offering a unique service to the young football community of Cyprus where, through sport and participation, the children will have the opportunity to develop and gain the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through sport, paving the way for them to become responsible and creative members of the community.

In describing our overall philosophy we can borrow two phrases from the Ancient Greeks: Ευ Αγωνιζεσθαι (Fair Play) and Νους Υγιης εν Σωματι υγιει (A Healthy Mind within a Healthy Body).

Our association with the Chelsea Foundation will see English FA-qualified coaches visit Cyprus and provide training sessions to all IFA players. The Chelsea Foundation coaches will also share their expertise with IFA coaches so we can continue teaching the club’s methods throughout the year.

Our kids will have the opportunity of visiting, once per season, the super-modern Chelsea training facilities at Cobham, England, on a five-day visit, where they will be further coached and participate in friendly matches against other U.K. teams. During their stay in England, the children will have the opportunity to visit Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s west London home ground.

In addition to the periodical Chelsea methods of training and coaching by Chelsea Foundation coaches, the children in our organisation will receive training, football coaching and guidance from our own UEFA approved professional coaches here in Cyprus.

Youngsters with special abilities and talents will be developed through our elite programs where they will be offered specialist coaching, is they so wish. This will teach them, step-by-step, through all the procedures necessary to achieve their goal.
